Stuart Hart brings 30 years of musical expertise to his work. As a composer and executive Stuart has the uncanny ability to produce literally any style of music to solve his client’s needs.
As a young boy growing up, Stuart found himself lying awake at night aspiring to be on the stage like his rock star idols. He began developing his powerful movement on the guitar and fine-tuning his gift of arrangement to begin creating his own music. After earning his degree, Stuart landed opportunities to play and record with many internationally recognized musicians such as Dennis Chambers, Mathew Garrison, Gary Granger and Leland Sklar.
In 2000, Stuart co-founded Selectracks, a custom music production house. Starting with a shoestring budget and 100 pieces of music, in less then 8 years their catalog grew to more than 7,000 tracks to be represented and pitched for sync opportunities around the world. During the growth of Selectracks, Stuart created various themes for Fox Sports as well as several hundred custom compositions for various sports programs.
Bug Music, one of the leaders in music publishing, made an irresistible offer to purchase Selectracks in 2008. After the acquisition, Stuart was hired by Bug Music to be their new VP of Production Music. Music giant BMG purchased Bug Music in 2011 and advanced Stuart to Senior VP of Production Music. He also continued to collaborate daily as one of several head composers.
After leaving BMG Music in 2014, Stuart’s focus has been primarily on composing music. He currently has more than 5,000 compositions around the world generating sync income, to include more than 500 syncs for sports broadcasts. Some of his most well known credits include creating original music for Mark Burnett’s Mind Control, 500 Questions, Funderdome, Beat Shazam, Celebrity Apprentice, as well as Long John Silvers Restaurants’ National Campaign, National Netflix campaigns, James Brown Bio Pic Trailer, Smirnoff International campaign, as well as main-title themes for Candidly Nicole (VH1), I Love Nick Carter (VH1), It’s all Relative (TLC), Paradise Run (Nickelodeon), Fishing Mavericks (NBC Sports), Bye Felicia (VH1), Grand Theft Auto for the game The Lost and The Damned.
Stuart continues to rise early and stay up late, still driven to create music to inspire stories.
